If I could give 6 out of 5 stars I would. This authentic kebab restaurant has two owners who are cousins. They very clearly love sharing their appreciation of food with their customers. We ate in at one of their 3 tables. The chicken was very flavourful, the falafel was soft on the inside but warm and crispy on the outside, the Samoona and tandoori bread was freshly made, the roasted tomatoes, fresh hummus, garlic sauce and pickled turnips were all so tasty. We sipped freshly steeped tea as we ate. Food quality is top notch. Prices are more than fair. The value is incredible and the staff were very friendly. We’ve eaten there 3 times now and I’m already planning our next order. Very. Highly. Recommend.

Seriously the best kebabs I’ve ever had in Ottawa. The shami kebab is unreal. Juicy and crispy on the outside. We usually get the family platter with mixed grilled meats. Not a great dine in option as there’s only 3 tables and very limited space but the delicious food makes up for that.

During my initial visit to this restaurant, I was impressed by the incredible food, attentive staff, and the owner's exceptional friendliness. The five-star quality of dishes, especially the Falafel Kebab bread, makes it a highly recommended dining spot. Ottawa served me the best Iraqi falafel experience at this establishment.

I visited Mr. Samoona Grill & Bakery this morning for breakfast and it was amazing! They serve a true Iraqi-style breakfast with delicious Iraqi tea and fresh tandoor bread. The atmosphere felt very welcoming and authentic. One of the staff members was extremely kind and even offered us some complimentary treats. As an Iraqi myself, I felt at home here — the food, the hospitality, and the vibe were all perfect. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience real Iraqi flavors!

I’ve been to Mr. Samoona with my wife 4 times now, and each visit has been fantastic. Their food, service, and overall attitude are simply outstanding. Even though I’m Iranian, I can honestly say that their kebabs are 100% better than any kebab I’ve ever tasted in my life! Viva Iraqi Kebab! I highly recommend ordering the 1 kg kebab (10 skewers). If you have leftovers, you can ask them to pack it in a container. There’s a small dine-in fee of around $5-6, but it’s absolutely worth it for the quality of food and service. I’ve been to Mr. Samoona’s multiple times and it always exceeds my expectation. Not only the food is amazing, the service is top notch as well. The lamb kebab and kebab skewers is so juicy and delicious. You can tell the quality is amazing. This place is the best kebab place in Ottawa!

Absolutely love this authentic Iraqi restaurant! I've visited Mr. Samoona with my husband several times to enjoy their delicious kebab options, sandwiches, and signature samoona bread — honestly, the bread alone is worth the visit! We decided to try their breakfast menu for the first time, and it was unforgettable. The egg shakshouka with ground beef, tomatoes, and onions was full of flavour and delicious. It was perfectly complemented by crispy falafel, fresh hummus, a plate of veggies, freshly made samoona bread, and a comforting cup of tea. Their food, customer service, and overall atmosphere really takes you back home. Great experience every time. Highly recommended!
